A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients interested in health and healthcare issues, who want to get involved with and support their local GP practice.
The partners are keen to involve their patients in the development of services and care at Longroyde Surgery.
We invite any patient who wishes to attend twice yearly meetings and help us to continue to provide the highest standards of patient care and service to complete the application form.
We would like to ensure that all patients are represented on the group—including young people, parents with young children, parents of teenagers, patients aged 45-65, patients aged over 65, patients with a disability, carers and patients with a chronic disease which requires regular reviews and medication.
If you feel that you would like to participate but may not be able to attend meetings, we are also looking to include a “virtual group” where information and ideas can be exchanged via e-mail.
The practice would set up and manage this “virtual group” and contact patients from time to time to share their views and have their say.
