Out of Hours Emergencies
NHS 111 is a telephone service for people in Yorkshire to call if they need medical help fast but are not in a life-threatening situation. The easy to remember, free to call number, was introduced across England to help reduce the pressure on A & E departments and the 999 service. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a week, the service is available for people who aren't sure if they need to go to A & E, or who don't have a GP to call, or generally need reassurance and advice. Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
