IMPORTANT NOTICE - Dates When Surgery Will Be Closed For Training

The surgery will be closed for staff training and educational purposes on the following dates from 1.00pm to 3.30pm

If you require medical advice whilst we are closed, please call 1-1-1.

Calls to the 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.

If you have a life threatening emergency, please call 999.

Appointments

pen_on_diarySurgeries are all by appointment. Please see surgery hours for details of surgery times. We aim to offer most appointments within one working day but guarantee to offer one within two working days.

Urgent cases will always be seen on the same day. You may express a preference to see a particular GP but this may not always be possible. 

We have a number of appointments reserved for urgent cases on the day and if they are not needed they will be available to book.

If you are unable to keep an appointment then please do phone and cancel it so it may be given to another patient.

Telephone Advice

If you need to speak to one of the GPs or the nurse during the day please phone the surgery and give the receptionist some indication of your query. If the GPs or nurse are available they will speak to you. If not, they may call you back.

All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they may feel one is required. This chaperone may be a family member or friend.  On occasions you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff.

Wherever possible we would ask you to make this request at the time of booking the appointment; so that arrangements can be made and your appointment is not delayed in any way.  Where this is not possible we will endeavour to provide a formal chaperone at the time of request.  However, occasionally, it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.

Your healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations in accordance with our chaperone policy.
